Client involved with the Engineering & Construction of Power Plant & Steam Plant design projects is looking for a Structural Design Engineer with 5-10 years of experience out of college. Our client is looking for candidates that will grow into their next generation of Lead Engineers. You need specific project engineering & design experience working for an EPC or A&E firm involved in heavy industrial plant design build projects. Our client prefers candidates with experience on power plant projects, but will also accept experience supporting other heavy industrial plant (refinery, chemical, process, pulp & paper, etc...) design build projects. You need a BSCE or MSCE degree. An EIT or PE license would be a plus. You need specific experience as an Engineer designing concrete & structural steel support systems for these heavy industrial projects. Specific experience doing this for coal fired, wood fired, cogeneration, pulp & paper, combined heat & power, & similar types of projects would be a plus. You will be involved with designing large structural platforms, hangars, supports, frames, guides and concrete slabs for these steam & power plant design build projects. You should be proficient with using AutoCAD software. Any experience performing structural analysis using STAADPro, STRUDL, or a similar software package would be a big plus. Questions you will be asked:
• Detail your Civil Structural Engineering experience supporting heavy industrial plant (Power Plant, Process, Chemical, Refinery, Cogeneration, Pulp & Paper, etc...) design build projects.
• Do you have a BSCE or MSCE degree? Do you have an EIT or PE license?
• On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best) rate your AutoCAD skills. When did you use this software last?
• How much experience do you have designing & running calculations for concrete & structural steel support systems (structural platforms, hangars, supports, frames, guides & concrete slabs) for these heavy industrial projects?
• Do you have any experience with a structural analysis software? (STRUDL, STAADPro, etc...)
