Well-established global leader in the manufacturing of non-electric consumer housewares has an immediate opening for a Sr. Controls Engineer in the Elmira, NY area. Qualified candidates must have an Electrical Engineering degree - plus a minimum of 10 years heavy manufacturing experience, ideally in a 24 x 7 environment. Other desired skills include project management experience, PLC programming, and electrical design. The scope of the position will provide Electrical Engineering support in the form of project management, programming, electrical design, training, and troubleshooting to maximizing production efficiencies. Responsibilities include: Project Management ; Direct and instruct Electrical Maintenance Associate during installation and troubleshooting; Ensures existing drawings and documentation of control systems and electrical equipment are accurate, overall support of plant quality system and documentation system; and Cost reduction.
