Outstanding opportunity for a Registered Architect or building design Engineer with PE for a Design Manager role with an outstanding engineering company focused on military and federal government building projects. Preferred client office location is San Antonio, Texas, but candidate may choose CA, VA, MA, CO or NJ office locations. Must be a Registered Architect, or a BS in Architectural Engineering or Civil or Structural or Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with PE. MS or other graduate degree preferred. Requires 8+ years experience, 5+ in field and 3+ as design leader, in military and federal government bids and proposals for engineering and design / build projects worldwide. Requires vertical building experience for multi-facilities and infrastructure projects, and knowledge in space planning, office layout, conceptual building renderings, roofing replacement and Autocad. Position will lead design activities and lead the preparation of architectural engineering plans with A/E firms and will ensure designs meet customer (governmental) requirements, are complete, technically correct, submitted on time and within budget.
