World class engineering and development organization has immediate need for a Procurement Expeditor at its suburban Chicago, IL location for a six month contract position. Ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years related procurement experience in an industrial equipment, construction or manufacturing process environment. Position will work with engineering to compile project and equipment specifications, qualified providers lists, required delivery dates, bids, and other procurement criteria needed to prepare purchase orders for materials and services. Will serve as liaison between engineering, procurement, and equipment vendors to initiate, track and expedite procurement; will develop and maintain records of purchases and service agreements; visits key vendor sites to confirm equipment specifications and delivery schedules; tracks contract obligations against outstanding orders and assures accurate project accounting of procured items; prepares a payment profile for procured equipment and services for each project as an element of forecasted project expense; prepares documentation for acceptance criteria for procured equipment and services.
