A global leader in their industry has an opening in their office located approximately 1 hour outside the Philadelphia, PA area for a Senior Substation Design Engineer.
This position will function as a Senior Supervising Engineer with responsibilities to develop proposal estimates, provide input to scope documents, prepare project task plan(s), develop production methods, direct production work, provide technical direction and provide feedback to management on work status and performance. You will also perform independent audits on technical work and implement corrective action to enhance performance. Supervising or mentoring subordinates and provides input regarding performance will also be required.
To be considered you should have your BSEE degree and approximately 15 or more years experience with a PE license being required. Client prefers candidates that have experience working for an engineering firm. Experience in the physical design and engineering of switchyards and substations is also a requirement. Familiarity with power system related calculations and with high and medium voltage electrical equipment as well as skills in high voltage equipment specification and layouts is needed. Supervisory experience is also needed.
