A company in New York needs a Director in Manufacturing Operations. Must have a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business or similar field. MBA is desirable. Candidate should have considerable experience in manufacturing complex capital equipment products (minimum 1000 parts in a bill of material per product) that consist of electronics, software, and precision mechanical components. At least 5 years of experience in managing a capital equipment assembly, manufacturing, or precision machine shop is required. Must have experience Implementing Lean Production System to ensure manufactured and purchased components are ready in time for Final Assembly and that total time to build is reduced from 12 months to 6 months or less. International experience is highly desired and international travel is required primarily to Europe and Asia.

• Describe your experience with managing a capital equipment assembly, manufacturing, or precision machine shop.

• Describe your experience with planning and directing the layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.

• Describe your experience reviewing production and operating reports (e.g. job cost reports and direct the resolution of operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.

• Please list your educational background and other certification you have
