IMMEDIATE NEED!!! An engineering company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for its Southeast Michigan location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years experience HVAC, fire protection and plumbing design experience in facilities projects. A Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required. A LEED certification and PE license or ability to obtain license within 12 months is required. Company will provide sponsorship for LEED certification. Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) projects is highly desired. Applicant must be proficient in energy calculation software packages and have HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design experience. CAD experience is a PLUS!!! This position is responsible for training and mentoring junior engineers and assisting the mechanical engineering team on the project design of commercial projects. Candidates who have experience in Federal projects may have opportunity for leadership role on Department of Defense projects. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
