Excellent opportunity with a well established company who is experiencing growth in multiple locations ( Houston, Austin, and Dallas / Fort Worth, TX, Chicago, IL, Madison, WI, Hartford, CT, Raleigh, NC, Boston, MA and others ) for hands on Senior Civil / Structural Engineers with substation project experience.
This position will be responsible to supervise and coordinate all civil and structural project activities associated with substation design projects. This will include working with the project team to create or modify all civil and structural design documents related to steel and foundation detail drawings, and to apply engineering application software for the design of structural steel, foundations and site preparation,, etc and for PE candidates that qualify for a Senior Supervisory role to assign tasks to the civil design team..
To be considered you must have a knowledge of structural analysis and a knowledge and understanding of steel and concrete design. A knowledge and understanding of substation components and their functions and of common engineering application software is desired. An understanding and ability to ensure engineering standards including NESC, IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI are applied is required. A BS Degree in Engineering is required and a PE is strongly desired. Non PE candidates with very strong substation design projects experience will also be considered.
Great location and client offers excellent salary, benefits, and bonus plan. Out of town travel may be required for short periods of time as needed by projects and assignments. Relocation is available for eligible candidates. Client may consider working with candidates at their current location depending on where they are. Client is ready for an immediate hire.
