Our client, a division of a global manufacturer of products used in the steel, metals, energy, and railways industries, is actively searching for an Electrical Supervisor to join its organization in its' W. Columbia, SC office. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, assisting in hiring activities, identifying individual & team strengths and development of needs on an ongoing basis, coaching and mentoring the team to include maintenance of employee documents (i.e. performance reviews, attendance, etc..), maintaining operating equipment through time-based, predictive, and emergency actions,providing technical advice especially in troubleshooting situations, and overseeing the creation of plant electrical department documentation. In addition, the Electrical Supervisor will have the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, troubleshoot analog control systems and AC/DC systems in addition to preparing additional plant electrical specifications as necessary to supplement existing standard and will enforce compliance with plant personnel, contractors, and vendors.

To qualify for this great opportunity, a minimum of an Associates degree in an electrical maintenance field is required along with completion of a 4 year federally approved technical training program in electrical repair and maintenance (or an equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education). 3 or more years of industrial electrical repair and maintenance experience in manufacturing or fine assembly operation with 3 plus years of supervisory experience is also mandatory. The ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data, write in a clear concise manner are definitely needed. The salary listed is an approximation so all who meet the minimum qualified specifications are encouraged to apply.
