Client located Northeast of Atlanta is searching for a Project/Controls Engineer. This candidate will serve as a technical resource to 6 facilities in the area of PLC, Operator Interface Programs and other control systems (including maintaining a back-up system). This candidate will serve as a resource in the area of training, codes and policies that affect safety, quality, and productivity. This candidate will execute capital projects within schedule and budget guidelines. This candidate must have a BSEE, BSME, or BSIE and 2-10 years of experience as project, process or industrial engineer in a food manufacturing or related environment. Additional course work preferred in Project Management, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Total Quality Management (TQM) or problem-solving techniques is desired. This candidate must have a demonstrated technical aptitude, ability to apply engineering principles, and the ability to troubleshoot. Understanding of statistics, data analysis techniques, simulation, and other industrial engineering principles strongly preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD is required for the preparation of presentations and working documents. Experience with Arena software would be a plus. Knowledge of USDA/FDA sanitary design principles, AIB standards, OSHA, GMPs and other regulations desirable. Salary is commensurate with experience. Relocation is available for the right candidate.
