Major company has an immediate need for a MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER to research and develop of a next generation water flow sensing devices for sprinkler system monitoring. Requires BSME, MSME a plus, and 10+ years practical experience with product design and development. Must have expertise with 3D solid modeling software, FEA, knowledge of fluid dynamics, and design of plastic injection molded and cast metal components. Seeking candidates with Six Sigma certification, Pro E, Ansys, and supervisory skills. Responsible for full cycle development of new products developing, researching, design, analysis, documentation, and testing. 10% travel is expected. Great opportunity for a creative Mechanical Designer with the technical skill sets to produce new products.

Questions you will be asked:

• Please detail your abilities to research and develop of a next generation water flow sensing devices for sprinkler system monitoring.

• List your education and rate your skills with 3D solid modeling software, FEA, knowledge of fluid dynamics, and design of plastic injection molded and cast metal components.

• Rate your Six Sigma certification, Pro E, Ansys, and supervisory skills.

• List projects where you were responsible for the full cycle development of new products developing, researching, design, analysis, documentation, and testing.

• Where are you currently located? Are you willing to travel 10% of the time? Are you willing to relocate to Illinois? When are you available?
