Location: Hendersonville, NC, USA
An electrical contractor in North Carolina needs a Distribution Specialist who will travel between Hendersonville, NC, Bryson City, NC, Greenville, SC, and surrounding areas. This person will design electric distribution facilities for new residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Evaluate voltage levels, loading, and reliability, provide designs that allow for system expansion and maximize safety and service reliability. Follow up on outages and outage prevention measures on distribution facilities in the area, and help resolve power quality issues. You will also to develop working relationships with internal and external customers, builders, developers, electricians, utilities, and city officials. Requires an Associates degree or BS in a technical discipline such as Electronics, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology, and 4 to 6 years experience in electric utility Distribution Engineering. Thorough understanding of electrical distribution and power quality is a MUST, along with experience using AutoCAD. Must have a valid drivers license and a personal car that can be used for business, mileage will be reimbursed. Excellent benefits are offered. No relocation available, candidates should be in the target area.
