A leading solutions provider is actively searching for an experienced Technical Writer for their Norcross, GA operation to work a 2 month contract. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, or Technical Communications and proven technical writing skills using MicroSoft Word software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information to a nontechnical audience. Duties to include planning and developing printed documentation, multimedia presentations, Internet content and other end-user documentation for new and existing software and hardware products. Responsibilities to include discovering and correcting errors, improving existing documentation, and updating documentation when there are software or hardware changes. Develop end-user documentation for new software and hardware products and projects. Experience in with different formats of diagrams such as PDF and Visio and inserting them into documents helpful. Writing samples will be required. Proven ability to learn a wide variety of software applications and development tools. The position pays a very competitive rate depending on experience.
