Northern Illinois utilities company seeks qualified Customer Service Field Engineers. Relocation is available! This is a field position with SUBSTANTIAL TRAVEL required! The selected candidates will function independently, can work out of their home office, and must live within 2 hours of the local office. This is an exciting opportunity to travel domestically and internationally and to work with a diverse group of customers. The selected candidate MUST HAVE: At least a High School Diploma; Controls and PLC experience (Allen Bradley or GE Fanuc); Some utilities and industrial experience (preferable with water); A positive and energetic attitude; Ability to travel at a moment's notice; Passport or ability to secure a passport. Knowledge of reverse osmosis, nuclear power, off shore rigs, conventional power and deionization of water is a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES: Work in the field to service clients with high purity water systems; Work with domestic and international clients and customers to service their needs; Human machine interface; Programming and Instrumentation; Schedule own travel to and from client sites; Complete proper reports, paperwork and documentation of services and client requests; Check in with corporate office daily. The ideal candidate is a self motivated technically savvy worker, with a great attitude and desire to provide exceptional customer service.
