Leading Process Design Engineering and Manufacturer based in northern New Jersey has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a graduate mechanical engineer (BSME minimum) with FIVE PLUS years of design experience in ASME, Section VIII, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. A Professional Engineering License is preferred. MUST have with experience with COMPRESS (ASME Code Calculations), Algor (FEA), and AutoCAD. The position will review, recommend, and assist our ASME Code vendors in this area to insure compliance with the Code. This would require review of both drawings and calculations for pressure vessels (towers, tanks, heat exchangers, etc.). Experience should include in addition to ASME Code pressure calculations, wind, and seismic load analysis, nozzle load calculations, attached internals, vessel supports (lugs, rigs, skirts, saddles, & legs), WRC-107 attachment calculations, temperature gradients and differential thermal expansion, ladders and platforms, etc. Knowledge of piping design and TEMA Standards is a definite PLUS. • Describe your experience with reviewing, recommending, and assisting client-s ASME Code vendors in this area to insure compliance with the Code. When and Where.
