IMMEDIATE NEED!!! Client located in the state of Pennsylvania has an immediate need for a Product Development Engineer. Specific experience with heavy machinery is a plus. Requirements should include: B.S. degree in a technical field, preferably Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 years work experience in a product development role. Primary responsibilities will consist of: Product development engineering and improving product designs; Implementation and maintenance of design control procedures; Reporting on the performance of product development activities and the progress of projects; Working with customers to ensure the product conforms to customer requirements; Ensuring that product maintains high standards of quality, reliability and safety. Desired skills include: Proficiency with ProE; Knowledge of welded structures; Experience with drive train components such as motors and gear shafts; Ability to calculate the strength of structures; Basic knowledge of metallurgy and heat treating.
