Mechanic - Steam Turbine/Millwright

Client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Turbine Mechanic/Millwright. This is a direct hire position in Houston, TX. Candidates will need prior assembly experience with Steam Turbines or Centrifugal Compressors. This is an hourly position with overtime available. No relocation assistance is available at this time.

Responsibilities:

-> You will work from verbal and written orders; read and interpret complex assembly blueprints; work from bills of material, or assembly sheets
-> Use precision measuring instruments such as; verniers, micrometers, proof staff, levels, dial indicators, thickness gages and other precision instruments to attain alignment, fits, clearances and end play as required
-> Build and assemble a variety of steam turbines, centrifugal pumps, gears, centrifugal compressors, generators, regulating accessories, and special equipment
-> Disassemble all sizes and types of client's product returned for repair, and reassemble after necessary repair or replacement parts are supplied

Requirements:

-> HS diploma, or equivalent, and 1-3 years of trades training
-> You will need 5+ years of related assembly experience
-> You must have prior assembly experience with Steam Turbines or Centrifugal Compressors
