Leading Aerospace company needs a Senior Director of Manufacturing, who will be responsible for all manufacturing engineering activities required to support the companys current aircraft related product lines in the Eastern Maryland area.

Responsibilities:

-> Will have direct managerial oversight, and supervisory responsibility of airframe and systems manufacturing, supply chain, manufacturing engineering, new product development, and manufacturing facility operations
-> Development and execution of production plans for several UAV systems; meet production goals and establish inventory required to meet expected demand
-> Recruitment, training and management of an engineering team to support the companys expansion into aircraft structure design, certification and manufacturing STCs, OEM subcontracting, etc
-> Establishment of a network of engineering resources outside the company to provide contract engineering support for design and certification activities
-> Oversee the planning and maintenance of an ISO: 9001/AS:9100 certified manufacturing plant. Maintain facilities to support current and future needs of UAV manufacturing operations
-> Ensure the facilities and equipment are in compliance with EH&S standards, OSHA, environmental, labor, and other governmental laws and regulations
-> Coordinate engineering activities with manufacturing, quality, sales and marketing, and other groups within the company, consistent with the groups strategic goals
-> Coordinate all manufacturing activities in alignment with regulatory practices and QA/QC

Requirements:

-> BS in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Advanced degree preferred
-> Minimum of 10+ years engineering management experience in the aircraft industry
-> Design and Certification experience with composite aircraft
-> Understanding of composite Prepegs as well as the composite structures and components
-> Extensive experience with FAA certification programs, preferably involving composite aircraft structures
-> FAA Airworthiness, DER and ODAR experience
-> Ability to interface at the highest levels with customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies (FAA, etc.), and senior management of the group
-> Domestic and International Travel Required
-> Able to hold at least a DoD Secret Clearance

• Do you have a minimum of 10+ years engineering management experience in the aircraft, aerospace industry?

• Do you have design and Certification experience with composite aircraft?

• Do you have extensive experience with FAA certification programs, preferably involving composite structures?

• Are you able to hold at least a DoD Secret Clearance?
