Well established food manufacturing company is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner for manufacturing facility in the Wichita, KS area to perform all planning activities from the status RPL (ready to plan) through to completion of the work. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE.

Responsibilities:

-> Plan the work order to include: craft and labor resources needed, task lists to do the job, parts required, permits required, special tools and equipment and anything additional required to complete the work order
-> Develop standard work order templates for jobs that are repetitive
-> Incorporate regulatory requirements and effects upon the maintenance process into the work order
-> Request parts and materials needed for work order packages that are not stocked in the storerooms
-> Arrange for special equipment and contractor services for work orders they are planning
-> Investigate all re-work to determine the root cause and make recommendations to R&M Manager for improvement
-> Provide occasional off hour support to the unit
-> Discuss reliability improvements with reliability engineer
-> Maintain communication with the scheduler and Maintenance Coordinators so that progress on work orders is known
-> Ensure adherence to standard work processes (MEWP), including Integrated Manufacturing System / 21st Century Manufacturing (IMS / 21stCM)

Requirements:

-> High School Diploma or GED
-> Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
-> Minimum five (5) years of experience operating in a maintenance environment
-> Journeyman Status preferred
