Location: Aiken, SC, USA
Client has an approximate 9 month contract opening in the Aiken, SC area for a Senior Structural Engineer for design and analysis of concrete and steel for heavy industrial process facilities. Mob / Demob and per diem are available for eligible candidates. US Citizenship is required to be considered.

Responsibilities:

-> Design and analysis of concrete and steel for heavy industrial process facilities
-> Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses
-> Recommend and prepare technical papers and reviews supplier data as required; read supplier /manufacturer drawings

Requirements:

-> Technically competent and have aptitude with GTSTRUDL finite element software
-> Experience with, and knowledge of IBC 2003, ASCE 7-02, AISC ASD, AISC 341-02 and ACI 318-02 is strongly preferred
-> Effective skills with commonly available software programs (Microsoft Office, MathCAD, etc.)
-> BS degree in Engineering or related field
-> 10 or more years directly related experience
-> PE is a plus

Questions you will be asked:

• How many total years experience do you have working as a Structural Engineer? How many years with concrete and steel for heavy industrial process facilities? Our client requires you to be eligible to work in the United States, what is your current work status? Plus: Do you have a PE license? What state(s)?

• Please detail any experience that demonstrates your ability to design concrete and steel for heavy industrial process facilities. How proficient are you with GTSTRUDL?

• Do you have an expert knowledge of IBC 2003, ASCE 7-02, AISC ASD, AISC 341-02 and ACI 318-02?

• Where do you currently live and how quickly are you available to start work if selected?

• What is your current or most recent hourly rate of pay (please break down base, bonus, etc.)
