VERY HOT NEED: Large company has an immediate need in the Southern area of the U.S for a Director of Human Resources for a large industrial manufacturing facility. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

-> Responsible for developing and implementing Human Resource policies, programs and systems for salaried and hourly employees
-> Responsible for providing guidance and support to all levels of management, locally and corporate
-> Will be responsible for site compliance with corporate principles & guidelines, and all applicable legislation
-> Responsibilities include being a member of the management team that makes policy decisions for the facility
-> Responsible for providing assistance and guidance in all areas of employee relations and to establish and maintain effective health and safety programs
-> Oversee and ensure the effective coordination of a selection procedure for salaried and hourly employees
-> Provide guidance, resources and training necessary to meet equal employment opportunity/affirmative action plan requirements

Requirements:

-> Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, with an Advanced Degree preferred
-> Requires a minimum of 10 years experience in Human Resources and 5 years industrial experience with emphasis on non-union relationships
-> Requires experience in Employee/Labor Relations, Union environment, and Manufacturing
-> Pulp/Paper experience preferred
-> Experience in all areas of employee relations in order to ensure a responsive atmosphere to handle employee needs
-> Experience with controlling unemployment costs and avoid unjustified legal claims and coordinating the performance appraisal and salary administration process
-> Requires experience working with management team in conducting regular communication with employees
-> Experience and knowledge regarding involuntary terminations to ensure appropriateness of action and adequate documentation
