Sales Manager - Sales/Distributed Control Systems/Turbine

A large OEM company providing steam / combustion turbines and generators is actively searching for Regional Sales Managers in multiple locations (Georgia-Atlanta, Massachusetts-Boston, North Carolina-Charlotte, Ohio-Columbus, Pennsylvania-Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh, Virginia-Richmond).

Responsibilities:

-> Calling on corporate level executives at utilities and EPC firms to close turbine control systems and switchgear business deals
-> Design overall operational objectives and work plans for direct and/or channel sales, and delegate assignments to subordinate staff
-> Manage the sales efforts of assigned sales managers in their territory, defined geographic area, marketing segment or channel(s)
-> Develop and lead sales strategies for retention of account base and to penetrate and develop new accounts
-> Make final decisions on administrative and operational matters and ensure effective achievement of objectives

Requirements:

-> Must have 10+ years of proven experience selling DCS systems (e.g., Emerson, Foxboro, Honeywell, The Wood Group, GE or ABB / Bailey)
-> BS in related discipline, or advanced degree. Some MBA coursework or equivalent experience a plus
-> Switchgear and protection systems sales experience to power generating stations (Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle and/or Traditional Steam Plants) & EPC firms

Questions you will be asked:

• Detail your experience selling DCS systems (eg. Emerson, Foxboro, Honeywell, The Wood Group, GE or ABB - Bailey) to utilities and EPC firms.

• Do you have a BS in Engineering or related field?

• Detail your switchgear and protection systems sales experience to utilities (Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle and-or Traditional Steam Plants) & EPC firms.

• Detail your background in developing long term sales relationships with corporate level executives and decision makers at utilities and EPC firms.

• Which location are you interested in (Georgia-Atlanta, Massachusetts-Boston, North Carolina-Charlotte, Ohio-Columbus, Pennsylvania-Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh, Virginia-Richmond)?
