Location: Chester, VA, USA
Searching for a Cobol, CICS and Easytrieve Programmer for a 4- 6 month contract assignment in the Richmond, VA, area.

Responsibilities:

-> Developing a combination of batch COBOL, COBOL/CICS, Easytrieve, and JCL to access VSAM files (KSDS and ESDS) variable and fixed length. The components for this program are expected to be designed and developed as part of this contract
-> Prepare weekly status reports and to escalate issues as they arise

Requirements:

-> Must have 5 years demonstrated COBOL/CICS programming experience
-> Must have 5 years of demonstrated Easytrieve programming experience
-> Must have 5 years of demonstrated VSAM files programming experience
-> Know and have demonstrated success with heavy use of subprograms and have heavy experience with variable length VSAM
-> Must have relevant implementation experience in large commercial or governmental business and be familiar with overall business issues
