Contract Position. GIS TECH needed in Colorado

Responsibilities:

-> Provide mapping, drafting, geographic information systems (GIS) and presentation graphics to support the planning, permitting, acquisition and management of electric transmission and substation facilities, gas and electric distribution facilities, and generation facilities and associated property

Requirements:

-> Degree, coursework or certification from accredited college or technical school in, mapping, surveying, cartography or GIS, or equivalent experience
-> 2+ years experience using ESRI ArcView on workstations using Windows operating system, AutoCAD Map is a plus
-> Understanding of environmental planning and real estate principles including constraint mapping of physiographic, topographic, land use, and real estate information
-> Thorough understanding of spatial data and spatial referencing. Advanced knowledge of GIS technologies and ability to work with aerial photography
-> Ability to create and work with photosimulations and some understanding of land rights and utility/energy systems would be helpful
