Controls Engineer - Refrigeration/Ammonia/Commercial

A leading consumer food products company located in Salisbury, MD is actively searching for an Refrigeration Project Engineer to generate bid packages, plan, budget, and implement projects that are specifically related to refrigeration. All similar mechanical / electrical systems are also included in this position.

Responsibilities:

-> Train associates in the proper operation of refrigeration systems, PSM, and to continually improve existing systems
-> Establish design criteria, generate bid package, and budget for refrigeration systems and for similar mechanical systems and request funds needed to implement project
-> To supervise and manage the installation of these systems from conception to completion
-> To manage capital projects, improve refrigeration systems, and train associates in PSM & to properly operate refrigeration systems
-> Control budget on capital projects and maintain reporting procedures
-> Implement and establish safety programs along with environmental requirements and maintain PSM programs through the management of change using contractors and plant personnel

Requirements:

-> An engineering degree with 10 or more years experience with commercial ammonia refrigeration units is required
-> Technical expertise in construction, refrigeration, poultry processing equipment, project management, AutoCAD, equipment layout, and hands on experience with ammonia refrigeration.
-> The willingness and ability to work in a poultry processing facility
-> Expereince with large commercial or industrial walk in coolers
