Controls Engineer - Electrical/Project/Industrial 75-95 K/yr

Location: Salisbury, MD, USA
A leading consumer food products company located in Salisbury, MD is actively searching for an Electrical Project Engineer to be responsible for planning, budgeting, and implementing electrical projects to provide a safe and reliable system for the operations/expansion of processing lines and facilities. This position is not limited to electrical work; it will also encompass general project management.

Responsibilities:

-> Establish electrical design criteria (meeting NEC requirements) to include budget; schedule; specifications; one line diagram, control schematic, functional logic, and layout drawings for projects to obtain CER approval
-> Supervise plant associates and contractors, providing direction and corrective action for electrical power distribution systems and electrical control systems, including arc-flash evaluation and circuit coordination for new and renovation work
-> Manage capital projects including supervision of contractors to minimize interference with operations
-> Control budget, schedule, accounting, purchasing, receiving, and installation on capital projects and maintain reporting procedures to keep management informed
-> Implement and establish safety programs; maintain local, state, NFPA 70E, and NEC code compliance; and insure the safe and successful completion of projects
-> Manage any assigned project successfully and complete on time and on budget

Requirements:

-> Functional knowledge of transformers (480/240/208v) and distribution systems
-> Exposure to medium voltage systems
-> Familiar with control logic, ladder diagrams, PLCs, 120 volt control, 24 volt control
-> Experienced and proficient with AutoCAD
-> Capable of creating accurate one line diagrams
-> Capable of creating control schematics
-> Capable of creating power distribution design
-> Qualified to troubleshoot all voltages
-> Familiar with switchgear, MCCs, and power distribution panels
-> Familiar with power factor correction, lighting, NEC, NFPA 70E, and other industry electrical standards
-> Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with 10 years of directly related experience
-> Must be willing to work in a poultry processing facility environment
