Safety Engineer - Safety/Health/Construction 40-50 $/hr

IMMEDIATE NEED!!!......Engineering & Construction company is looking for a Site Safety Specialist with 10+ years of experience working on large, multi million dollar construction projects. You need specific experience working on large, heavy industrial construction projects, preferably in the process industry (refineries, oil & gas, petrochemical, hydrocarbon, or a similar type of process plant). The first 3 months you will work on a project in IL and then move to a project in Oklahoma for the next 8+ months. Our client will pay for mob, demob, and a per diem.

Responsibilities:

-> Writing permits
-> Overseeing multiple contractors and subcontractors
-> Responders training, maintain records of employee and subcontractor safety violations and subsequent disciplinary actions
-> Conduct walk-through audits of construction activities, and assist with investigating work-related injuries and property damages

Requirements:

-> 10+ years of construction safety experience working in the field on large, heavy industrial construction projects
-> Specific safety experience working on refinery, oil & gas, petrochemical, hydrocarbon, or a similar type of process plant construction projects is preferred
-> You need a thorough understanding of the rules & regulations associated with the following: OSHA, DOT, EPA, DEQ, & USCG
-> You need to be familiar with the following: Lockout/ Tagout, confined spaces, scaffolding, excavation, emergency response, cranes & critical lifts
-> You need safety experience covering the following areas: Civil, Structural, Cranes, Piping, I & E, insulation, commissioning, & start up

• Detail your experience as a Site Safety Specialist working on site, on large construction projects related to the process industry (refineries, oil & gas, petrochemical, hydrocarbon). If not process, what heavy industrial plant industry?

• Do you have safety experience covering the following areas: Civil, Structural, Cranes, Piping, I & E, insulation, commissioning, & start up?

• Detail your experience writing permits.

• Do you have a complete understanding of the following rules and regulations: OSHA, DOT, EPA, DEQ, & USCG?

• What is the earliest you can mobilize to the project?
