Safety Manager - Health & Safety/Mining/OSHA 55-85 K/yr

A mining facility in the Fairbanks, AK area is very actively seeking a Health and Safety Specialist to support the Health & Safety Department. This is a permanent position and relocation assistance to Alaska will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

-> Provide support to the Health and Safety Department by coordinating site hygiene, maintaining fire systems and supporting site training such as MSHA and ERT activities
-> Implementation of policies related to Health and Safety
-> Maintaining good relations with employees, supervisors and the public at large to promote safe work practices and adherence to work standards

Requirements:

-> Certification as an MSHA instructor and an Occupational Hearing Conservationist or the ability to obtain certification is required
-> EMT 1 certification must be maintained
-> Experience in industrial hygiene, fire fighting, emergency response equipment and safety is preferred
-> Must have a valid driver license
-> Must be presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
