Project Manager - Solar/PV/Construction 50-65 $/hr

Renewable Energy client is looking for a Construction Site Project Engineer to act as an Owner's Rep on a Solar/PV Plant construction project. This is an 11 month contract assignment located in Jacksonville, Florida. You need 15-20+ of construction project experience in power generation, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems or heavy industrial projects. You need a BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management. You must have good overall understanding and experience in construction with particular emphasis in Electrical and Civil/Structural construction. Our client is looking for candidates that are local to the Jacksonville, FL area, but will consider candidates in the region.

Responsibilities:

-> You will monitor construction quality to ensure the Contractor is installing the work according to the project plans and industry specifications
-> Act as Owners site contact with EPC Contractors Construction Manager, the Owner, local agencies and property owners
-> Act as a Liaison between the various parties in order to facilitate resolution of issues and maintain progress
-> You will be Owners first line of defense against change order claims and impediments to progress
-> You will need to review Contractors schedule and project controls to ensure progress is being accurately reported
-> You will also monitor contractors safety processes and procedures to ensure compliance with their Safety Plan and OSHA requirements

Requirements:

-> Min (10 years) of construction project experience in power generation, solar facilities or heavy industrial projects
-> You must have good overall understanding and experience in construction with particular emphasis in Electrical and Civil/Structural construction
-> Demonstrated construction project management experience with a background in managing Engineering, Procurement, & Construction (EPC) contracts
-> Knowledge of the Basic PV System Component (Modules or panels DC Disconnect Inverter AC Disconnect Electric Distribution Panel & Meters) would be a PLUS
-> A BS in Engineering or Construction Management is needed
-> Specific construction experience with solar projects would be a PLUS

• Do you have experience with using key project documents including the EPC Contract, the Energy Services Agreement, the Project Execution Plan, Permits, Land Use Agreements, Drawings and Specifications? Explain.

• Detail your construction project management experience specifically managing EPC contracts.

• Do you have a BS degree in Engineering or Construction Management?

• How much experience do you have with Solar Photovoltaic design and construction projects?
