Manufacturing Engineer - Industrial/LEAN/Process Improvements 75-95 K/yr

Location: Canaan, CT, USA
International Mfg manufacturing of specialty minerals and synthetic mineral products is actively searching for a Manufacturing Engineer for the New England operation.

Responsibilities:

-> Recommends and implements process improvements that add value and reduce waste
-> Recommends, implements and sustains cost and quality improvements
-> Participates in ensuring the site has an employee involved, management responsible safety culture
-> Utilizes technical knowledge and experience in the modification of existing processes and design of new processes

Requirements:

-> Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline is required. Added certification a plus
-> At least ten (10) years related experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment
-> Prior Lean Manufacturing experience, including experience with standard work, is required Green or Black Belt Leader is preferred
-> Ability to travel is required

Questions you will be asked:

• When and where did you receive your undergraduate degree in engineering? What discipline? Any additional education or Certification. Are your SIX Sigma certified ? When and Where?

• Describe your TEN YEARS MINIMUM of related experience in an industrial-manufacturing environment as a Manufacturing Engineer. When and Where.

• Describe your skills and experience utilizing your well developed business understanding, working knowledge of customer requirements and demonstration of a balance between analytical and creative thinking.

• Travel is required. Do Not Apply unless you can travel domestically and internationally.
