Exciting Opportunity in Chile! Global communications engineering and manufacturing leader seeks a skilled Site Engineer to perform Antenna Control System Test and commissioning in Region II of Chile. The astronomy facility is located near San Pedro de Atacama, II Region. Candidates must have the ability or willingness to relocate to (or already residing in) II Region of Chile. Relocation is available and meals and site accommodations provided.

Responsibilities:

-> Perform integration, quality assurance, commissioning and functional testing of antenna drive & control system
-> Perform customer witnessed acceptance tests
-> Maintenance, diagnostics and warranty repairs of antennas
-> Support the Site Engineer and Site Production Manager with the technical lead of company antennas
-> Perform day and night time antenna pointing testing
-> Protect Company proprietary documentation

Requirements:

-> Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology, OR 4 years of experience in Drive and/or Control Systems and/or Automation or Automatic Control technology
-> Job experience with complex drive & control systems, servo drives, control theory
-> Ability or willingness to relocate to (or already residing in) II Region of Chile (in cities such as Calama)
-> Able to obtain a passport and hold a valid drivers license
-> Experience with: Programmable Logic Controllers ( PLC ), Linux operating environments, MS Office Suite
-> Capable of passing an annual high altitude medical exam for working and living at an altitude between 3000 and 5000 meters above sea level
-> Able to climb antenna structures and vertical ladders in excess of 12 meters
-> Good English reading,writing and communication skills (mandatory). Spanish is useful
-> Ability to work in a desert region inside and outside
-> Must be able to alternate between day and night shifts as required to meet the production and testing schedule of antennas

• What experience do you have with Perform integration, commissioning and functional testing of antenna drive & control system? Be specific.

• Are you currently living in or near region II of Chile ( in cities such as: Antofagasta, Calama, and San Pedro)?

• Do you speak, read or write in Spanish language as well as English? What is your level of expertise.
