Substation Engineer - Substation/Protection/Control 90-110 K/yr

Client located approximately 1 hour outside the Philadelphia, PA area has an opening for a Lead Discipline Engineer with experience in protection and control engineering for switchyards and substations. Local candidates or those able to relocate on their own preferred although relocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

Responsibilities:

-> Protective relaying especially for t-line, high and medium voltage systems
-> Develop proposal estimates, provide input to scope documents, prepare project task plans, develop production methods, direct production work, and provide technical direction
-> Provide feedback to management on work status and performance
-> Perform independent audits on technical work
-> Implement corrective action to enhance performance
-> Supervise or mentor subordinates and provide input regarding performance

Requirements:

-> PE is required
-> 15+ years experience in protection and control engineering for switchyards and substations
-> Very familiar with power system related calculations and with high and medium voltage electrical equipment
-> Significant substation design experience and supervisory experience
-> Computer literate

Do you have a four year degree from an accredited university? What discipline? Are you a registered PE? What state(s)?

• What specific experience will demonstrate to this client your ability to with protection and control engineering for switchyards and substations to include power system related calculations and with high and medium voltage electrical equipment with t-line, high and medium voltage systems?

• Detail any experience you have in a Lead or a Supervisory role.

• Where do you currently live? Why are you interested in a position located approximately one hour East of the Philadelphia, PA area? If not local will you require relocation assistance?

• What is your current or most recent annual salary (break down base, bonus, etc.). What is your desired salary for this position?
