Substation Engineer - Substation/Design/Physical 90-115 K/yr

Client located approximately 1 hour outside the Philadelphia, PA area is looking for a Senior Substation Design Engineer with Supervisory experience to provide engineering and design analysis for switchyard and substation systems and design modification packages. Relocation assistance may be considered for highly qualified candidates. Salary listed is an approximation so all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

-> Engineering and design analysis for switchyard and substation systems and design modification packages
-> Substation physical design, walkdowns and task management, proposal and schedule development to support various projects
-> Specification and arrangement of high voltage system equipment from 35kV to 500kV
-> Perform and review standard substation calculations including rigid bus bracing, lightning protection, and substation grounding
-> Manage a team of engineers and designers on substation projects

Requirements:

-> Must be a registered engineer (PE)
-> At a minimum, a BSEE degree from an accredited university
-> A strong background in substation design
-> 15 years of proven substation engineering / design capabilities with project experience ranging from 35 to 500kV
-> Must possess the ability to manage subordinate engineers and designers on large substation projects
-> Strong working knowledge of NESC and other utility industry standards and practices
