THINK has a great employment opportunity for an Application Development / Technical Customer Service Plastics Engineer located centrally located in SC! This is a unique opportunity to be on a global team where everyone makes a difference in the success of the business.

Responsibilities:

-> Work with Application Development team supporting select automotive, medical, packaging and other markets involving predominantly Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) as well as some extrusion applications (profile, tubing mono-coex, sheet/film)
-> Provide technical expertise on material and process selection, application development, tool design as well as manufacturing recommendations
-> Support company projects in coordination with Sales and Marketing team as well as internal application developments
-> Provide independent, competent and timely support to customers, agents and company personnel in the areas of ISBM/BM and some extrusion
-> Prepare and hold technical presentations for customers, agents and various other personnel of company

Requirements:

-> BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Plastics Engineering or related field
-> 3 years minimum experience in engineering plastics ISBM/Extrusion Blow Molding Technologies, as processor, tool designer and/or Technical Customer Service Representative
-> Experience in Engineering Plastics Extrusion Technologies, as processor, tool designer and/or Technical Customer Service representative very helpful
-> Knowledge of Engineering Plastics (Preferably Nylons) applications/properties/processing
-> Proficiency with PC's and MS programs, such as Word, Excel and Power Point
-> Confident knowledge of the field, either through experience with a large plastics manufacturer, automotive and/or packaging industry
-> Up to 70% Travel

• How many years of Technical Customer Service dealing with Engineered Plastics do you have?

• Please explain your experience with Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM).

• How much experience do you have with Plastics Extrusions (profile, tubing mono-coex, sheet-film)?

• Please describe any experience you have with plastics within the Automotive or Packaging industry.
