Vice President of Engineering - Vice President/Valve/Nuclear 125-140 K/yr

Power Generation company currently seeking candidates to fulfill VP of Engineering role. Position is located in the Boston, MA area.

Responsibilities:

-> -Responsible for ensuring the company maintains a technology leadership position with patent protections
-> -Improve processes and systems which will result in engineering to improve BOM accuracy, reduction in lead time and processing
-> -Keep up to date with emerging technologies and trends so as to not lose competitive advantage within industry
-> Prepare and implement strategic plan initiatives
-> -Provide mentoring and coaching for department employees
-> Work with manufacturing team to improve product designs

Requirements:

-> -Minimum of BSME required however a Masters Degree is preferred
-> 10-15 year of management experience, specifically directing engineers and technical professionals
-> Must have experience working in the valve industry, preferably the nuclear valve sector
-> Implement improved methods-must have proven track record
-> Product innovation-must have proven track record
-> Must have a working knowledge of CAD/CAM software, solids modeling, stress analysis and lean design and manufacturing processes
-> Ability to develop a sales/marketing strategy to improve account coverage at the end user
-> Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
