Commissioning Engineer - Transmission/Testing & Commissioning/400KV 70-90 K/yr

One of the Largest Energy Companies based in the Gulf is aggressively looking for a Protection Testing and Commissioning Specialist with power utility experience for their transmission system protection.

Responsibilities:

-> Able to provide protection testing and commissioning of transmission protection systems up to 400kV
-> Ability to provide technical leadership over all field testing techniques and develop detailed testing procedures for each protection scheme in the system
-> Deliver training to protection engineers on advanced testing procedures and techniques in order to ensure optimum test practices are followed
-> To ensure that the testing techniques are implemented and maintained at the highest standards
-> Develop detailed test plans for testing numerical relay performance and functionality and fault finding and troubleshooting of protection systems and the ability to implement corrective action

Requirements:

-> A BSEE in Electrical Engineering
-> The candidate must have a minimum of 15 years experience in the power utility world
-> Knowledge of protection scheme functionality is essential on all types of transmission system protection including busbars, feeders, transformers and reactors
-> Knowledge of protection relays, test equipment, and associated software
-> Possess advanced disturbance and fault analysis capability and the ability to perform fault investigations
-> Knowledge of power system theory including EHV Protection applications
-> Authorized to work in the U.S, CANADA, and EUROPE
-> A valid passport
-> Candidate must be ready to depart within few weeks
