Safety Manager - Mining/Underground/Safety Supervision

Location: Overland Park, ON, Canada
Well established mining company has a need for an UNDERGROUND SAFETY AND TRAINING SUPERVISOR in Canada.

Responsibilities:

-> Responsible to pick up a crew at any time and maintain set standards, both safety and production, for that crew as well as set up the shift plan for 11 to 18 men, monitor equipment and employee performance, enforce company policies and procedures, perform safety audits, and handle employee concerns

Requirements:

-> 5+ years in mining or heavy construction industry with strong leadership qualities and proven supervisory skills.
-> experience working with a unionized workforce, training in Underground Common Core and supervisory experience in soft rock common core is desired
-> Requires the ability to become computer literate and have basic mathematic skills
