Technical Specialist - Engineering/Document/Management

Central Texas Electric Utility has immediate need for a Document Control Specialist for a 4 - 6 month contract position to organize and catalog their Engineering Document Management System and to optimize storage and retrieval of 130,000+ images.

Responsibilities:

-> Support organizing and recording drawings and documents used as the basis of projects
-> Interface with multiple Engineering firms, plant and support engineers, project managers, etc. organizing and recording plant and vendor drawings in established protocol to facilitate subsequent reference and retrieval
-> Direct others in drawings record keeping, evaluate backlog, forecast completion, and provide status reports while interfacing with a diverse group of personnel

Requirements:

-> Need 4 - 7 years experience with records management and document control for engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations
-> Need working familiarity with Expedition, Excel, Word, AutoCad, AutoCad overlays,. tiff,. dwg files, and data base linking
-> Experience is the main driver but having an associates degree is a plus
-> Power plant related experience is a plus
