Renewable Energy client is looking for a Program Manager to run their 80MW Solar Power Program initiatives in New Jersey. This is a long term (12+ month) contract assignment in Newark, NJ. You need at least 2 years of experience related to the installation, design and construction of Solar Power Plants. You should have 10-15+ years of overall experience in the power generation or EPC industries. You need experience with and knowledge of utility interconnections, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, metering requirements, PJM GThink Resources, & communications systems. Our client is looking for candidates that are local to Northern, NJ and who are commutable to the Newark area, but will consider other candidates from the North East who do not require a per diem.

Responsibilities:

-> Overall responsibility for the implementation of an 80MW utility scale solar PV program with system sizes over 500kw over a 3-4 year period
-> Oversee the efforts of equipment suppliers and construction project managers, monitor progress and ensure milestone achievement, escalate and resolve barriers
-> Ensure adherence to project schedules, achievement of investment objectives, P&L goals and compliance with the Board of Public Utilities Order approving the program
-> Identify, establish & maintain processes for reporting & managing Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECS) through PJM GThink Resources and capacity and energy through PJM markets and programs
-> Manage the P&L for the overall program to achieve investment objectives

Requirements:

-> 2+ years of experience in the design, construction & installation of large solar PV systems (>500kw) is needed
-> Demonstrated construction project management experience with a background in managing Engineering, Procurement, & Construction (EPC) contracts
-> Experience with and knowledge of utility interconnections, solar PV systems, metering requirements, PJM GThink Resources, & communications systems
-> Understanding of the Basic PV System Components: Modules (panels) DC Disconnect Inverter AC Disconnect Electric Distribution Panel & Meters
-> A BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be a PLUS

• Are you local to the Newark, NJ area? If not, are you willing to work here without a per diem?

• How much experience do you have with Solar Photovoltaic design, construction and installation projects? Where these systems larger than 500kw?

• Do you have a good understanding of the basic PV system components? (Modules (panels) DC Disconnect Inverter AC Disconnect Electric Distribution Panel & Meters)

• Do you have experience with & knowledge of utility interconnections, solar PV systems, metering requirements, PJM, & communications systems? Explain.

• Explain your knowledge of Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECS).
