Mining Engineer - Rock Mechanic/PE/Underground 110-120 K/yr

Location: Balmertown, ON, Canada
IMMEDIATE NEED with a mining company located in Ontario Canada. Client is searching for a SENIOR ROCK MECHANIC ENGINEER to join their team on a direct hire basis.

Responsibilities:

-> Contributes to the development of mining plans and mine sequencing by taking the lead role in the management of stability and ground support requirements
-> Assess ground conditions and the results of abnormal micro seismic or seismic activity and provide corrective measures to issues that arise
-> Plans the installation of instrumentation to monitor ground movement and assesses ground conditions or changes in ground conditions on a workplace and zone basis

Requirements:

-> A Bachelor's Degree is required (emphasis on Mining is preferred) and registration as a Professional Engineer or eligibility to qualify in Canada
-> Masters degree specializing in Geotechnical or Rock Mechanics is preferred
-> 7-10 years of solid experience in underground mine engineering and ground control
-> Must be proficient in computer analysis of structural geological data applied to stability and numerical modeling for mine operations
