Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Energy Modeling Lead Careers - Portland, Oregon
The Challenge? Help provide technical and application support for our engineering and design group. The Energy Modeling Lead is part of CH2M HILL's Advanced Design and Simulation Group which performs studies for a variety of projects and programs across the CH2M HILL enterprise. The Energy Modeling Lead is specifically responsible for proposing and executing work scope focused on energy modeling of buildings, facilities, and individual facility systems. Projects include both internal project support as well as independent energy modeling consulting work. The work will primarily support Industrial & Advanced Technology's strategic clients within I&AT's three market segments (Electronics, Manufacturing and Life Sciences, and IDC Architects), and secondarily will support other business groups and company initiatives such as Urban Programs, Major Programs, and Strategic Consulting. The Energy Modeling Lead should be a degreed Mechanical Engineer with four years of energy modeling experience, experience with energy modeling for LEED projects, and have the desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new Energy Modeling project.
Our Energy Modeling Leads:
- Propose on energy modeling work by determining approach, scope, schedule and cost.
- Manage energy modeling project workflow. Control timing of proposed work versus ongoing projects.
- Grow energy modeling support staff, by mentoring existing staff and determining future staff needs.
- Refine Energy Modeling Approach and Toolset for I&AT strategic client's facilities.
- Promote the group's work internally at company meetings, and externally at conferences.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 4 years of Energy Modeling experience with Industrial Facilities
- LEED accredited
