Pogo Mine
Environment, Health and Safety Supervisor
Teck-Pogo is recruiting for an Environment, Health and Safety Supervisor to work at the remote Pogo Mine located near Fairbanks, Alaska.
Duties:
Responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety for the Mill and Mine site
Provide leadership and manage the department on a day to day basis
Manage the Safety Coordinator and Senior Environmental Coordinator and provide guidance and leadership.
Requires:
5 years experience in environment, health and safety supervisory role in a mining environment or related field
Demonstrated track record of supervising others
Strong communication skills and ability to work with others in a team environment
Successful track record as a supervisor in the environment, health and safety position
College degree not required but would be a plus.
Pogo is a camp job with transportation provided from Fairbanks, Delta Junction, or Tok, Alaska. Work rotation is two weeks on and one week off, or four weeks on and two weeks off. At Pogo, all rooms have phone, internet and cable tv connections. The camp has a game room with pool tables; an exercise room; a weight room and a sauna. The successful candidate must pass a post-offer physical and drug test.
