Outstanding opportunity for Construction Manager in the commercial construction industry with a leading U.S. engineering and environmental firm for a large government related project in Kabul, Afghanistan. BS in Engineering or Science required. MS and professional registration / certification preferred, Must have 10+ years of proven construction management experience (with at least 2 years as senior professional preferred) in the construction industry, especially as related to large government projects (DOD, Army Corp of Engineers, etc.), including vertical buildings, civil works, foundations, utilities, environmental, safety, industry and governmental regulations experience (environmental regulations, DoD guidelines, OSHA standards, and FAR requirements). Prior international experience, especially in Middle East also preferred. Position will assist in planning and coordination of construction related activities for a large government project including: meeting of construction schedules and goals, assuring compliance of standards, quality and health and safety, maintaining compliance with project work plans, standard operating procedures and sound field practices, managing subcontractors, providing proper reporting and administrative control, and providing general construction leadership. Base salary is approximate and based on experience. Salary bumps while working in country. Paid 10 day RR (vacation) back in states every 12 weeks of work. Excellent annual bonus. Great benefits.
