A client with a direct relationship to the auto industry is actively searching for an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist for its Northern Mississippi location. This is a single person operation that will direct and implement programs that will ensure the safe operation of the facility for the employees, management, and the plant. This position is responsible for reviewing and processing reports, updating management on safety and regulation programs, and to conduct EHS inspections as required. This opportunity is best suited for an individual that is EHS certified, has a BS degree and has a minimum of 3 to 4 years of EHS experiences and is ready to step away from a team to manage the EHS programs and to set standards by leading by example. This is a contract position that can be converted to a permanent placement opportunity. The client prefers local candidates for this position.
