Senior Environmental Consultant - Mining/Oil + Gas Environmental Assessment

$135,000 - $115,000

This leading international consultancy specialises in Mining and Oil & Gas projects and has recently been awarded for their excellence in Environmental Management in the mining industry. As such, you will be given access to some of QLD's largest Environmental Assessment projects and be setting yourself up for the Principal/Team Leader role in their Brisbane CBD office. Primarily you will be responsible for the project management of large-scale technical studies and programs for the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments and environmental approvals of proposed mine sites and Oil & Gas projects. Managing client expectations is an integral part of this role. You'll be involved in:

Project co-ordination and management

Management of technical and professional staff and sub-consultants

Design, review and reporting of environmental investigations for impact assessments

Development of environmental management plans and monitoring programs

Environmental legislation interpretation and obtaining regulatory project approvals

Community consultation, industry and government liaison

Environmental compliance, environmental management systems (ISO14001) and environmental due diligence audits

Supervision of professional staff and mentoring junior staff

Marketing and the development of marketing plans
