Coeur Alaska is recruiting an Environmental Technician position for its Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.
Responsibilities:
&#56256;&#56510; Conducts field environmental monitoring activities related to air, water, wildlife and other permit regulations.
&#56256;&#56510; Responsible for ensuring a safe workplace while supporting environmental policies and regulations
&#56256;&#56510; Responsible for carrying out departmental goals, assist in project planning and development.
&#56256;&#56510; Responsible for imputing technical and non-technical data into computer system, prepare reports and presentations.
&#56256;&#56510; Assist, as requested, in areas related to environmental as well as other departments.
Experience: The successful candidate for the Environmental Technician position preferably will have a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering or post high school technical training. Solid computer skills required. Work experience within the environmental arena and a working knowledge of scientific principles associated with natural resources. Ability to work independently and to accept responsibility, ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful; mature; flexible. Good reasoning abilities; well organized; and must work well under pressure.
