Geotechnical Engineer - Geotechnical/Environmental/Project 45-60 $/hr

Location: Boston, MA, USA
Client located in the Boston, MA area has a temp to hire, possible immediate direct hire opening for a Project Engineer that has a good blend of both Geotechnical and Environmental skill sets to perform and lead a variety of geotechnical engineering tasks for environmental projects, such as landfills closure, remedial excavations, slurry walls, and solidification projects. Relocation assistance may be considered for an ideal match.

Responsibilities:

-> Developing and implementing geotechnical investigation programs
-> Performing remedial detail designs
-> Writing reports and technical specifications
-> Developing design drawings
-> Performing calculations (settlement, slope stability)
-> Completing construction field assignments (as needed)
-> Working with and mentoring staff
-> Obtaining the necessary staff and financial management skills to grow into a Task/Project Manager

Requirements:

-> BS in Civil Engineering
-> MS with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering is preferred
-> 8 to 12 years of related work experience in remedial design and\or remedial construction
-> Good technical writing and communication skills
-> Proficient with Microsoft software
-> 24 or 40-hour HAZWOPER training a plus
-> P.E. is a plus

• Do you have your BS Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering? Do you have any advanced degree(s)? How many total years experience do you have working on Geotechnical and Environmental remedial design and\or remedial construction projects?

• What experience will show that you have a good blend of both Geotechnical and Environmental skill sets to perform and lead a variety of geotechnical engineering tasks for environmental projects as listed in the job description?

• Please share any experience that will highlight good technical writing and that you have good communication skills. Are you proficient with Microsoft software? Plus: Do you have a 24 or 40-hour HAZWOPER training?

• Will you consider this is as a temp to hire position or direct hire only? Where do you currently live? If eligible, would you need relocation assistance?

• What is your current or most recent annual salary (break down base, bonus, etc.) and what is your desired annual salary for this position?
