The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil, Gas & Mining has one position available in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a senior level position. Incumbents work with minimum supervision. The focus of the position is on the technical review of mining and reclamation plans, mine site inspections and compliance with regulatory requirements of the Utah Mined Land Reclamation Act. Major emphasis is placed on the evaluation and application of basic mine engineering and reclamation practices/principles as they relate to the development of Utah’s mineral resources and the ultimate reclamation of lands disturbed by mining-related activities. Evaluation and preparation of detailed reclamation surety cost estimates is an important responsibility of this position. The salary for this position ranges from $25.42 (Step 61) to $38.20 (Step 76) with full benefits. The closing date for accepting applications on this website is midnight, August 3, 2008
