An environmental contractor in the Baltimore, Maryland area, is actively looking to fill an Estimator II position, to be responsible for preparation of bids for public and private projects. Responsibilities include: Accurately identifying and quantifying material, equipment and personnel needed for projects; obtaining quotes and proposals; coordinating bid document preparation with contract administration and accounting staff; participating in transfer of estimate to field; and helping to maintain and update estimating software. Visiting current and potential project sites is mandatory. Travel will occur primarily in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.The successful candidate will have 3 years experience in heavy construction or estimation. A related degree or training is acceptable in lieu of experience. Engineering degree, environmental construction and site work experience, a PLUS.
