Responsible for all aspects of compliance with OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management (PSM) standard as it applies to multiple (2) facilities. Additional responsibilities include serving as key resource on PSM Team to drive improvements to process safety performance. May be involved in external PSM activities. Responsible for staying abreast with PSM regulatory and industry trends in all aspects of PSM compliance, implementation, and performance.

Job Responsibilities include:

-Must keep abreast with federal, state and local regulations that cover process safety along with industry recognized good engineering practice.
-Reviewing CCPS publications and other resource publications.
-Reviewing CSB (Chemical Safety Board) publications, films, and press releases.
-Maintaining contact with like industry counterparts.
-Attending conferences such as annual Process Safety Global Congress.

Required Experience:
-Minimum of 10 - 15 years experience in the petrochemical/refining industry of which at least 5 are in the process safety function.
-Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in an appropriate engineering/science discipline. Strong preference for Chemical Engineering BS degree, minimum.
-Registered Professional Engineer, Certified Safety Professional or equivalent Safety Professional registration desired.
